We bought a bar – now what?
Playfield ’76 is Downtown Reno’s blend of bar/restaurant/arcade serving quality spirits, craft beers and comforting plates in a refined and comfortable space, welcoming high scores and high fives.
Has has owned a number of restaurant and bars in his career and Carver is managing two other companies. However, there were two challenges at play here – it’s not a good idea to spread yourself too thin – sure, they have more than enough business experience to get things up and running but they didn’t get into business to become accountants. Secondly, being existing business owners they realized the importance of getting it right first time.
As if this wasn’t enough to think about, sprinkle in a global pandemic while you are trying to open a food and beverage business and you can image the challenges the team was facing.

The tax department also provided tax preparation and planning services. All of this allowed the Playfield team to focus on running their business while Vast handled the numbers.
